Lodbjerg Hede is a fantastic expanse of moorland where you can go out and get completely away from yourself.
Scents, colors and heavenly views await you.
Lodbjerg Hede og Klitplantage is located near the iconic Lodbjerg Lighthouse. The plantation is one of the youngest dune plantations in Thy and was established in 1923. At that time, it was thought that the sand drift was under control, so large parts of the area were left unplanted, which today gives the area a special variety and many beautiful views.
The large open areas and different landscapes of the plantation create a rich natural environment with great views of both dunes and sea.
When you visit Lodbjerg Klitplantage, you should also visit Lodbjerg Lighthouse, where you can enjoy a fantastic view from the top. After your trip up to the lighthouse, you can take a rest in the small café where volunteers offer coffee and homemade cakes, which can be enjoyed in the cozy lighthouse garden.
Lodbjerg Klitplantage celebrated its 100th anniversary on Pentecost Day 2023 at Lodbjerg Lighthouse. To mark the anniversary, a commemorative publication was published that describes the history and development of the plantation as well as the area's flora and fauna, archaeology and local artists. This publication provides a deeper insight into the importance of the plantation and its development over time.
